It's been forever....

So as I said before I would promise to update my blogging on a regular basis, well as you can see...ya right!!!!
With recent events I have been more inspired to start my blogging again.
I find it quite funny how much has happened since my last post. So not to bore those reading I will not do one long post of what has been happening and to catch everyone up, but rather short ones that may happen 2 or 3 times a day. All until I am "caught" up.
So with that said...I will start in August of 2009.
As you can see below, Jon and I found out we were having a girl, and after the first initial shock, I was coming around to the idea of a little girl with bows and lace running around our house (well that and some shopping). Izabella was growing on me more and more and I couldn't have been more ecstatic on the connection I was feeling with my little girl inside me.
The summer was a hot one here in the Pacific Northwest, and thank goodness for our investment on a really good air conditioner. I pretty much went to work (which was air conditioned), drove home in my car (which was air conditioned), and stayed in the house (which was air conditioned). Other than that our summer was pretty uneventful. We spent time working on the nursery for Izabella.

We decided on purples for the walls and I made curtains out of green and orange gingham (which aren't up in this photo). We joked because Izzie's room was more complete than our room.
The only other huge event was our baby shower! My mom and sister Erin really planned this and made it probably one of the most amazing days of my life! My sister-in-law Jessica, did the most amazing spread of food and really all the hard work was so appreciated!!!!! LOTS of friends and family came to celebrate Izzie's arrival!! I couldn't have been more blessed to have had such an amazing day!!

This is the amazing wedding cake that our wonderful friends Greg and Nichole made (if you need cakes...www.govillagio.com)!

Izzie got spoiled rotten!!! Even received her first little blue box (thanks Randal, Katie, and Kerry)!!! Too bad we are a Charger's household...but Seahawks are our back-up team.

An amazing time was had by all. Even the boys got in on the festivities, yes that is beer in the bottles.
So to sum it up, the day was amazing! The sun was out, great friends, great food, what a wonderful way to celebrate the arrival of our precious angel!!!!
